Team Leader

Location: Blackbrook, St Helens

Role Description

We are recruiting for a Team Leader to join our dedicated team at Marydale Secure Children s Home. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and managing the daily operations of a secure residential setting for children and young people.

As a Team Leader, you will:
  • Provide direct line management and supervision to a small team of Childcare Workers.
  • Develop and implement individual care and risk plans in partnership with referring authorities and therapeutic services.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulations, including:
    • Children s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
    • Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF)
  • Work a combination of early and late shifts on a rolling rota.
  • Support the Registered Manager and Deputies in maintaining a safe, structured environment.
Experience & Skills for a Team Leader

You will demonstrate our core values treating everyone with dignity and showing courage in the face of challenging behaviour.

Essential
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience with electronic care records and auditing processes.
  • Excellent administration and IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including first-rate literacy and numerical ability.
  • Knowledge of current childcare legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Working knowledge of Ofsted Inspection Framework and Children s Homes Regulations.

Hours: 38 hours per week (3 week rolling rota)
