Lead the Way in Greening Erewash!
If you take pride in your community and thrive on inspiring others, bring your operational maintenance experience and an NVQ2 in Horticulture or Waste Management, or equivalent, to the role of Green Space and Street Scene Team Leader. You will drive Erewash’s clean, safe, and vibrant public spaces from West Park in Long Eaton to Victoria Park in Ilkeston, Pioneer Meadows, and Straw’s Bridge.

Your Leadership, Our Landscape: As a hands‑on leader you will energise and empower a team, fostering high morale and championing best practice. You will engage residents, contractors and community partners, setting the tone for excellence and accountability.

Plan, Coordinate, Inspire: You will oversee green‑space maintenance and street cleansing across the borough, managing teams that keep sports pitches, ornamental areas, trees, open spaces and public walkways in excellent condition. You will ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently and resources are well allocated.

Championing “Wild About Erewash”: Lead the balance between formal landscaping in Green Flag parks and naturalistic planting, rewilding areas, native species and habitat restoration. Bring biodiversity to life and strive to keep green spaces both beautiful and ecologically healthy.

Community‑Focused, People‑Powered: Engage residents, volunteers and community groups, building relationships and ensuring spaces serve everyone. Your team will be motivated, well‑supported and proud to deliver a service that truly matters.

Weather‑Proof & Ready to Respond: Work outdoors in all weather, dealing with seasonal pressures. Adapt and lead during leaf fall, snow, storm damage or post‑event clean‑ups—including weekends and bank holidays.

Why It Matters: Shape the future of Erewash’s environment and advance the Council’s vision of vibrant, sustainable communities where everyone enjoys clean, safe, green spaces throughout the borough.
