Full time, permanent role

Do you have prior experience working with hazardous chemicals? Are you comfortable operating a forklift truck or counterbalance? We are currently offering the opportunity for a new Team Leader to join a hazardous waste company based in the West Midlands. This role is aimed at candidates with prior supervisory experience or those interested in moving into supervisor role.

IMPORTANT: This role will involve alternating morning, evening, and night shifts.

The Role

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Unloading of chemical deliveries from pallets into inspection bays
  • Inspections and operation of forklift trucks or counterbalances
  • Ensuring adherence of health & safety procedures within the waste facility
  • Training & supervision of junior operators
Current / Recent Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Significant experience operating forklift trucks or counterbalances (essential)
  • Prior experience working with or handling hazardous chemicals (essential)
  • A chemistry-related degree (BSc / MSc / MChem / HND) or working experience in a chemistry-based role (desirable)
  • Prior supervisory or line management experience (desirable)
Profile Required
  • Able to relocate / commute to Stoke-on-Trent (essential)
  • Existing UK work eligibility – visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this position (essential)
  • Happy to work occasional night shifts (essential)
