We currently have four vacancies in the Environmental Protection Team following a full team restructure and are looking for qualified officers and experienced officers.

What will you be doing?

You would be working within the busy Environmental Protection Team and will be responsible for statutory duties related to Statutory Nuisance, Air Quality, Contaminated Land, Environmental Permitting and planning and licensing consultations. You will be responsible for your own case load, dealing with complaints, inspections and enforcement.

The Team Leader position will also assist the Environmental Protection Manager with the operation and management of the service.

About you

We are looking for innovative, enthusiastic and confident individuals with drive and determination to join our Environmental Protection Team. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. The posts will be working across the whole of North Northamptonshire

The postholder for the Team Leader Environmental Protection and the Environmental Health Officer/Senior Environmental Protection roles, will require a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health or equivalent, along with additional relevant qualifications and extensive experience within the Environmental Protection field.

The Environmental Protection Officer roles will require a good overall standard of education to A-Level or equivalent standard. Experience of working in an environmental health or similar regulatory role is desirable.
