Team Leader - Early Interventions in Psychosis

The Early Interventions in Psychosis (EIP) service provides secondary mental health support for clients within their home or clinics, within Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. This role will be based within the city locality. The team consists of Consultant Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Community Mental Health Nurses, CBT Therapists, Social Workers, Physical Health Coordinators, Support Workers, Peer/carer Peer Support workers, Employment Specialists, a Clinical Lead and a Team Leader, all supported by an Admin Team. The post will manage the clinical team and ensure the team delivers a high quality service to our clients, their loved ones while considering staff wellbeing and performance.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic full-time Team Leader to join our current experienced and supportive leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated team to enhance the responsiveness and effectiveness of community services for adults aged 18 and over who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.

Applicants should be a qualified Nurse, AHP, social worker or other suitable professional with a high level of commitment to working collaboratively with services both internal and external to the organisation. Applicants should have significant clinical experience and knowledge to inform and support the EIP clinical care pathway. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Clinical Staff within the City EIP Team to ensure patients/carers and families receive timely evidence-based services that meet agreed performance targets and national guidance, also considering staff wellbeing and service development.

Job responsibilities
  • Relevant clinical qualification and current professional registration.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

Qualification
  • Professional Qualification (Mental Health) plus further specialist knowledge/post registration experience to diploma level or equivalent underpinned by theory within physical healthcare or other formal training.
  • Maintain current registration with the NMC and adheres to the NMC Code (or equivalent professional body).
  • Demonstrates continuing Professional Development within their field.
  • Degree Level Education or Advanced Diploma.
  • Management and Leadership qualification.

Contractual Requirements

  • Participate in out of hours on call at Bronze level on a Rota basis.
