Job summary

Selco Builders Warehouse in Wolverhampton is seeking a delivery-focused leader to head a team of HGV and van drivers, pickers and loaders. You will plan outbound deliveries to ensure on-time, in-full, quality service and coach staff to improve performance.

You will support branch operations as the senior leader on duty, manage safety and compliance, and drive sales and loyalty through excellent customer service. 37.5 hours per week, permanent role.

• Coaching and supporting your team to build capability, take ownership and deliver consistently strong performance.
• Supporting the wider branch management team and taking responsibility for branch operations when acting as the most senior leader on duty.

What You'll Be Doing Leading and developing a high-performing delivery team, including HGV & Van Drivers and Pickers & Loaders.

Planning and managing outbound deliveries to ensure orders are delivered on time, in full and to the right quality standards.

Working alongside your team to pick and load customer orders safely and accurately.

Managing delivery performance, including driver behaviours, compliance, damage and cost controls, to achieve agreed targets and KPIs.

Ensuring effective delivery capacity and availability while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Driving excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to increase sales, profitability and customer loyalty.

Coaching and supporting your team to build capability, take ownership and deliver consistently strong performance.

Supporting the wider branch management team and taking responsibility for branch operations when acting as the most senior leader on duty.

The working hours for this role are
37.5 per week.
