We're offering an exciting opportunity for a team leader to work alongside our care team and client with complex needs in Chippenham, Wiltshire. You'll be supporting a lady in her 20s who due to a brain injury has complex clinical needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning difficulties. We're looking for someone with experience in support work and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

Main duties of the job

As a team leader, you'll be responsible for assisting with personalised routines, supporting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members. You'll need to have a genuine passion for care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a team leader to work alongside our care team and client with complex needs in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Hours: 24 Per Week over two days (10:00 – 22:00 with sleep in)

Pay: £18.04 Per Hour

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a lady in her 20s who due to a brain injury has complex clinical needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning difficulties. We're looking for someone with experience in support work and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

She lives in her own home, a purpose built property that she is very proud of. She enjoys a wide range of activities like cycling, swimming, badminton and walking while being very open to new experiences. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a support worker with:

  • Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
  • Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.

  • Assist with personalised routines, including use of hoists
  • Support with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain accurate care records and report any changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
