Team Leader (Commercial Regulatory Services)

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Salary Grade: 12 £45,091 - £48,226 per annum

Preston is a vibrant, diverse, and expanding city. As our population grows, so too does the demand for our Environmental Health services. Preston City council is looking for a capable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our dedicated team.

Reporting to the Environmental Health Manager, this is a key role, delivering services that make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our communities. You’ll be responsible for your own caseload, while supervising and supporting a team of Environmental Health Technicians, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and other legislation, leading complex investigations, and taking enforcement action where necessary.

You’ll bring a strong foundation in food hygiene and infection disease control, alongside a practical, hands‑on approach to management. Your ability to guide and motivate colleagues, manage workloads and maintain high professional standards will be essential.

The contracted hours are 37 per week and this will include some occasional evening and weekend duties.
