Salary: £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Shift Pattern: Rota based

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Team Leader to join a Children's Residential Home in Leyland. This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for a candidate with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to step into a leadership role.

Responsibilities
  • As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operations of the home. You'll lead and supervise a team of support staff, ensuring the provision of high-quality, child-centred care for children and young people.
  • Lead shifts and manage staff deployment
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members
  • Foster a nurturing, safe, and structured environment
  • Contribute to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
  • Act as a role model for both staff and young people
  • Ensure all practice complies with Ofsted standards and safeguarding protocols
  • Support the development and wellbeing of both staff and residents
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence - Essential
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting - Essential
  • Supervisory or team leading experience - Essential
  • Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child protection
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient, motivated, and committed to making a positive impact
