Overview

Are you an enthusiastic suitably qualified Specialist Biomedical Scientist with dissection and general histology experience hoping to advance your career? This may be the Team Lead Biomedical Scientist post you are looking for. Please come and join our team!

The role will be the Team Lead for specimen reception, dissection, and the main lab of Cellular Pathology. You will be involved in developing this role to provide continuous improvement for the cancer diagnostic service and cancer targets for the patients in central Lancashire.

Responsibilities
  • You will be expected to take an active role in the training and development of staff and to have good communication skills.
  • Aid in the procurement, validation and implementation of reagents, consumables and equipment and methodology.
  • Trouble shoot issues finding resolutions. Manage the Quality management system and meet UKAS 15189:2022 standards.
  • You will be expected to participate in the Senior management meetings to understand and support delivery of the operational services as well as deputise in the absence of the Lead BMS and other Team Leaders.
