Salary: £28,593.60 per annum (inclusive of sleep in allowance, based on 8 sleep ins per month)

Acorn Education & Care are recruiting Children’s Residential Team Leaders to join our teams within the Staffordshire area. Your empathy and warmth will enable you to support vulnerable children aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). This means that the Children we care for may have experienced challenging or traumatic upbringings and may have difficulties with anxiety, mental health or in some cases self-harm.

There are a total of 4 residential homes in the Staffordshire region, based in Stone, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and Stretton, and are all withing commuting distance from Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme and surrounding towns and villages.

The Role

Our Team Leaders carry out an essential and varied role, leading a team to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will design, implement, and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

Key Skills Required
  • Currently hold a Level 4 Apprenticeship for Children, Young People and Families or NVQ equivalent
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Ability to effectively train individuals and groups
