Job summary

The Amwell Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Team Leader to oversee daily care delivery across Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite services in Melton Mowbray. You will lead shifts, supervise staff and coordinate care plans, ensuring safe, person-centred support and compliance with regulatory standards.

Working alongside nursing and management, you will drive audits, quality improvement and staff development, fostering a respectful, compassionate culture and high-performing

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Competency in medication administration.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise care staff to ensure safe, high-quality support.
• Coordinate delivery of care and oversee care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
• Promote best practices, audits and continuous improvement within the service.

Job description

Our private, luxury care home is in the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray. We offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 88-residents.

• £15.00 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5-44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times. Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed.

You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery. This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

You will act as a role model within the team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability. You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.
