Main duties of the job

To lead, manage and oversee the co-ordinationof local delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within the 0-19 integratedservice requirements, using the healthy child programme as a framework tosupport delivery. This will include delivery and monitoring of delivery targetsof all core Public Health commissioned interventions, including immunisations,health screening/surveillance, health assessments and a requirement to supportthe health needs of any vulnerable children/young people within the caseload. Workin collaboration with partnership agencies to address the needs of all children0-19 years within vulnerable groups including those on the child protectionregister.

To provide cover in conjunction with othermembers of the 0-19 Integrated team across Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHSTrust in times of annual leave, sickness and school holidays.

Halton 0-19 Healthy Child Service worksacross Runcorn and Widnes which makes up the borough of Halton. We deliver theHealthy Child Programme and aim to improve quality health outcomes for Haltonchildren and their families.

Halton HealthyChild 0-19 Service includes Health Visiting, School Nursing, Family NursePartnership, and the Immunisation team all working together to improve thehealth and wellbeing of young people. You will have the opportunity to developyour skills working with a whole range of partners within the Local Authority,Schools, Primary Care, and voluntary and statutory agencies, as well as GPs

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse School Nursing/Health Visiting
