Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing business in High Wycombe seeking a Production Team Leader to join their operations team.

The role leads a production/assembly team in a busy environment, ensuring schedules are delivered on time while maintaining safety, quality and continuous improvement. Experience in manufacturing leadership, production planning and ERP/MRP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor or similar in manufacturing.
• Experience in leading production schedules and achieving targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production and assembly personnel.
• Coordinate daily production activities to hit output targets and delivery requirements.
• Manage production schedules, balance resources and priorities for efficiency.
• Monitor productivity, quality and performance metrics, take corrective actions.
• Support inventory management, stock accuracy and material availability.
• Ensure health & safety procedures and a safe working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Support training, development and performance management within the team.
• Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing environment who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within a busy production environment, ensuring production schedules are delivered on time while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Job Description

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve performance.
• Support training, development and performance management activities within the team.
• Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership position.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
• Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance.
• Understanding of inventory management and production processes.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments
