Your Role

As a Team Leader at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a pivotal role in leading and motivating a team to maintain high standards of performance and quality. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, championing best practices to optimise productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Lead and supervise a team - assigning tasks, providing guidance, and writing performance reviews in line with policy.
  2. Carry out assigned tasks including picking, packing, conditioning service and repair, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles.
  3. Monitor and manage sickness levels - ensuring all RTW (Return to Work) interviews are conducted and escalating the process if required.
  4. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a secure and compliant working environment. Also ensure training is up-to-date and actioned accordingly.
  5. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  6. Coordinate and prioritise workflow to meet operational goals and customer expectations.
  7. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including managers, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities and address any issues or concerns.
Your Skills and Experiences
  1. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  3. Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping/receiving processes.
  4. Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
  5. Experience in monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing feedback, and taking disciplinary actions when required.
