Job Description

Shifts: 24-hour care packages are available.

Pay: £13.26 per hour, plus 40p per mile for travel.

As a Team Leader, you will manage a small team of support workers while also providing hands‑on care. This is a dynamic role where 80% of your time will be spent on shift, delivering direct support to our service users. The remaining 20% will be focused on administrative and leadership duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands‑on Care: Provide personal care, assist with household tasks, and accompany service users on outings, including adventurous activities and holidays. You'll also support them with doctor and hospital visits.

Team Management: Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings.

Planning and Documentation: Create and document care plans and risk assessments.

Collaboration: Work with the Service Manager to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.

Qualifications

What we are looking for?

We need a dedicated individual with a strong background in care, particularly with learning disabilities.

Requirements:

Essential: Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and a valid UK driving license.

Desirable: Experience in a similar leadership role within the care sector.

Professional Registrations: Must be a current member of the PVG scheme or willing to register, and be registered with SSSC or prepared to register.
