Position Statement

To maximise revenue and profits for a portfolio of multiple hotels through the strategic coordination of revenue management processes and procedures. To drive the continued development and growth of customer service standards, revenue and profits from multiple hotels and to deliver Hilton’s mission relating to profit, people, customer and quality as it pertains to contributing to the management of a team of revenue managers. This role serves as a development pathway into a Senior Cluster Revenue Manager position within RMCC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a qualified and effective team of up to 5 Cluster Revenue Manager / Revenue Executives under the guidance of an existing Director, Assistant Director or Senior Cluster Revenue Manager within RMCC whilst also being directly responsible for the revenue management of one hotel.
  • Ensure that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure professional and efficient utilisation of all systems, in line with company best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks.
  • Ensure that relevant hotel and above‑hotel commercial team members are actively engaged in all revenue decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement optimal strategies and controls.
  • Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed our customer’s, owner’s and shareholder expectations.
  • Ensure high quality of revenue management processes and communications is applied consistently.
  • Act in the capacity of line manager in the manager’s absence and ensure on‑the‑job learning is maximised on the path towards Senior Cluster Revenue Manager.
Inventory Control
  • Managing and maintaining Group and Transient inventory controls.
  • Daily reviews and implements room accommodation and rate inventory controls in ONQ R&I using GRO.
  • Ensures group inventory cut‑off dates are managed according to demand.
  • Implements all blackout dates and reviews frequently to determine if adjustments are needed.
  • Works with Front Office to ensure agreed sell‑out strategies are in place.
  • Maintains rate parity with third‑party sites through extranet sites.
  • Proactively reviews key demand periods to maximise RevPAR and profit through effective consideration of costs of sales.
  • Oversee hotel allocation negotiations strategically in line with Business needs.
Sales and Pricing Strategy
  • Developing, monitoring and adjusting sales and pricing strategies.
  • Conducts commercial meetings as per contracted service where the appropriate booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control. The Revenue Manager will provide a synopsis of results vs. direction from the previous week and lead discussion on future issues such as booking pace, pricing strategies, marketing opportunities and the competitive environment.
  • Weekly reviews of Delphi reports if available to address concerns and action plans.
  • Develops and reviews annual transient and Group pricing on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensures pricing is consistent in all distribution channels (QnQ R&I, GDS, Internet, Extranets).
  • Identifies opportunities through channels and recommends channel marketing.
  • Liaises with market managers for key 3rd party operators.
  • Liaises with HRCC and monitors conversion.
  • Reviews corporate account production quarterly with sales to identify patterns of production and agree appropriate actions.
Information Analysis and Monitoring
  • Performs relevant daily, weekly, monthly checklist tasks for the maintenance of the GRO revenue management system.
  • Ensures the integrity of data flowing into GRO by regularly cross‑referencing other sources such as OnQ R&I and ancillary relevant reports.
  • Reviews end of month room statistics reports and provides critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies.
  • Conducts displacement analysis of group business as needed to determine the impact of potential business on RevPAR.
  • Completes weekly booking pace reports and analysis on pace, recommends strategy changes when needed.
  • Analyses past and present trends and makes recommendations for future strategies.
  • Ensures all ONQ R&I / SRP maintenance is configured according to the current standards – RMS rates, yieldable flag, commissionable status.
  • Ensures accuracy of all information being produced/ reported effectively.
Forecasting
  • Prepares monthly, 3‑month and budget forecasts using appropriate systems and tools as per contracted model.
  • Uses specialist knowledge of the hotels and markets to produce and maintain hotel forecasts using prescribed tools.
  • Prepares Rooms Revenue Budget using the appropriate tool, if included on the model.
  • Performs the GRO Forecast Validation process on a regular basis to identify changes in trends and opportunities to enhance GRO forecast and system performance.
  • Reviews forecasting accuracy trends of team in order to further develop this skill.
Competitive and Demand Analysis
  • Reviews all competitive shops on a consistent basis (at least weekly) and identifies selling strategies and market trends.
  • Reviews Demand Calendars, convention calendars and city event calendars to keep abreast of all demand generators.
  • Maintains historical data on events and performance on any promotions during these demand‑generating events.
  • Maintains GRO interface where automated rate shopping is configured to ensure the yield system is configured for BAR adjustments appropriately.
  • Identifies peak nights and sets KPI targets.
  • Identifies demand troughs and leads an action plan.
Specific Accountabilities – Driving Commercial Performance
  • Works effectively with RMCC Team members, Hotels (GMs, CDs, regional CDs, and on‑property revenue coordinator), Sales, Marketing, E‑commerce to ensure incremental financial performance (RevPar, EBITDA).
  • Ensures growth in performance of KPIs such as Room Type Supplements, Peak Nights, House Overbooking and Forecast Accuracy.
  • Drives Hotel Fair Market Share performance, moving hotels into the “Ahead & Gaining” quadrants.
  • Informs relevant Senior Leaders in RMCC of impending risk or opportunities.
Team Management, Training and Development
  • Effectively assists in the management of an RMCC team and provides training and coaching to current and new employees to improve performance. Involves directly managing a small number of team members with a greater leadership role within an existing team.
  • Carries out regular performance reviews with direct reports to identify risks and development needs.
  • Identifies training needs within the RMCC and plans development programmes to address them.
  • Contributes to the design of training and development plans and programmes which are based on a systematic identification of personal and business needs.
  • Carries out specialist training as appropriate.
  • Manages the implementation of new tools, systems and processes into the business.
  • Evaluates the impact training is having on the team's skills and business performance within the specialist areas identified.
  • Ensures any Holiday Cover commitments are managed as per standard.
  • Maintains strong collaboration with Senior Manager or Assistant Director to ensure consistency within a team.

  • Previous Systems Experience: PMS – OnQ, RMS – GRO, CRS – ONQ R&I, C&B Sales – GEM / Delphi, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Word Access, Completion of Pre‑Role Assessments (Classroom Sessions and corresponding feedback).
  • Leadership Experience within existing team (REACH! Sessions, covering for Senior Manager).
