Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting for a Band 6-7 Occupational Therapy lead role, potentially considered for Band 7. The post supports the acute care OT service, driving clinical standards and governance to enhance patient experience, treatment and discharge planning.

You will work with the IDT, managers and AHP senior practitioners to shape the workforce model and delivery of care. The role includes line management, governance, recruitment and CPD activities, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Must have effective, committed and motivated clinical leadership with the operational/clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• To undertake line management for planning, co-ordinating delivery and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy team in IDT on the Conquest site, including staff management, standards of care and competency.
• To participate in pooled budget meetings within Integrated Community Equipment Service.
• To be responsible for ensuring Clinical Governance within the IDT.
• To assist the Therapy Lead in the IDT with recruitment, appraisal, CPD and all issues relating to Trust policies.

Band 6-7 Developer may be considered for this position

This role will be active in developing and evaluating occupational therapy service delivery within acute care to support patient experience, treatment and discharge planning. The successful applicant will work with another B7 Team Lead to support clinical development and governance needed to deliver best patient care.

You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, with the service manager and AHP advanced care practitioners, to support clinical standards and governance needed to maintain and support effective patient care.

Undertakes clinical Occupational Therapy that requires specialist clinical expertise - medical and surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
