Job description
Job summary

The NHS is changing. More emphasis on community-based care means there's never been a better time to join us.

We're recruiting now for compassionate nurses who want time with their patients. Time to treat the whole person, not just the condition. Time to focus on what they want to achieve and how we can help them to get there.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Team Lead to join our caring and progressive team. As an organisation we support the NHS graduate guarantee and this would be an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified nurse.

Our hospitals are nurse-led and focus on holistic rehabilitation and therapy for people who need extra help to get home, or who are nearing the end of their life.

It's a relaxed atmosphere, but it's never a breeze – you'll need to think on your feet and be confident in making independent clinical decisions on behalf of the patients in your care.

Main duties of the job

We're looking for experienced and dedicated nurses with relevant clinical skills and who are ready to embrace the unique challenges and rewards of community nursing.

Candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertise will be considered. The Trust is keen to support development and therefore, candidates without the specialist District Nurse qualification or having a recognised advanced clinical skills/module will be considered for trainee posts.

Using the named nurse model, we want to allow nurses to spend more time with patients, promoting self‑management where possible, and improving patient lives.

You'll need to have a full UK driving licence and drive your own car, but you can claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision after your probationary period.

Together we can empower you to really make a difference to patients' lives. The very different world we are living in at the moment has given us the opportunity to rethink how we provide our services here at the Trust.

About us

Rated 'outstanding' by the CQC, we've got a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve the health of our communities. To do this we need outstanding people who share our values – compassionate, aspirational, responsive, excellent.

We know a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion leads to better patient care and a happier workforce. We pride ourselves in being diverse and welcome applications from people with varied backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.

We ask for information about your protected characteristics on our application forms. This isn't visible to anyone involved with shortlisting or interviewing you, except when you choose to be considered under the guaranteed interview scheme due to disability. Short listers will see two ticks alongside your application to ensure they apply the principles of the scheme to your submission.

The data we collect helps us to ensure we are attracting diversity in our applicants, that all our colleagues have equitable access to career opportunities and supports us on our journey to being a Great Place to Work.

As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want you to be able to work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you. Talk to us about a flexible working arrangement that won't involve sacrificing time for personal interests or family commitments. We'll support you to work flexibly in a way that will suit us both.
