Job description

VANRATH is excited to be working with a leading company in Downpatrick to recruit a Team Lead.

Location: Downpatrick Office

Salary: £15.19 per hour + Exceptional Benefits Package + Opportunities for Career Advancement

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Short Breaks Registered Manager with day-to-day operations of RQIA-registered residential service.
  • Ensure service users' care, support, and enrichment needs are met.
  • Oversee and be accountable for team performance and service quality.
  • Support delivery of strategic plans aligned with Mainstay's values and priorities.
  • Provide person-centred, outcome-led support to adults with learning disabilities.
  • Promote self-awareness, personal growth, and informed decision-making for service users.
  • Lead team in developing and reviewing person-centred care, support, and risk plans.
  • Ensure plans are regularly reviewed and updated in line with changing needs.
  • Encourage engagement in meaningful day activities, community involvement, and innovative initiatives (e.g., social enterprise, volunteering).
To be a strong candidate, you should have:
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent 2)
  • Over three years in a position working alongside adults with severe and complex learning disabilities or three years' experience of working with a vulnerable client group or individual
  • Experience in a role requiring the leading of a shift and supervising (can be a paid or voluntary role)
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent ICT Skills
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle (appropriately maintained and insured for business purposes), or access to another suitable form of transport that enables the successful candidate to meet the requirements of the role
  • Must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
