Job description

Job Description

Team Facilitator - Lochgilphead

We're looking for a Team Facilitator to join our social care service in Lochgilphead, supporting people across Mid-Argyll to live well in their own homes.

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help run the service day to day, from guiding and supporting your team to stepping in with hands‑on support, so that people across Mid-Argyll continue to live their best lives.

About Us

Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity, supporting people across Argyll & Bute to live independently, safely, and well in their own homes. In Lochgilphead, our Care at Home and Responder teams work alongside one another to provide person‑centred support. Our Care at Home team supports people with everyday routines, including meal preparation, medication and personal care. Our Responders provide a 24‑hour emergency response to Telecare alarms, attending incidents such as falls and helping people stay safe at home.

Who We Are Looking For

As Team Facilitator, you will support the Service Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the service while also delivering hands‑on support alongside your colleagues. You'll play a key role in keeping the service running smoothly, providing guidance, mentoring, and practical support to your team, while contributing to service planning and quality assurance activities.

You'll be someone who:

  • Leads, motivates, and supports your team with confidence
  • Communicates clearly and builds positive, trusting relationships
  • Takes a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to challenges
  • Contributes to service planning and quality assurance
  • Brings experience in social care, ideally supporting people aged 65 and over
  • Has knowledge of care planning systems, rota management, and regulatory requirements within the Scottish social care sector
  • Holds a full UK driving licence

Our Impact

As a Team Facilitator, you'll help people stay independent, safe, and connected to their communities, supporting them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

"The support I have received from [Carr Gomm] has been life changing - and I do not say that lightly. If I had not received the support I would not be where I am today." Charley, Person Supported by Carr Gomm (Oban)

Beyond our frontline teams, our fundraising helps make even more possible, enabling community projects across Argyll & Bute that support people through homelessness, promote positive mental health, reduce isolation, and provide practical help such as Keep Warm Kits for vulnerable people during power outages and times of financial hardship.

Why Join Carr Gomm

You will be part of a supportive, forward‑thinking organisation that invests in its people. You will have opportunities to shape how work is done through specialist working groups and the Futures innovation programme, within an organisation that proudly holds the LGBT Charter for inclusion.

You will also receive:

  • 35 days holiday per year, rising to 40 days with length of service
  • £200 Recommend a Friend Scheme (T&Cs apply)
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and sick leave
  • A Defined Contribution pension scheme, with incremental employer contributions
  • Free Blue Light Card (giving access to thousands of discounts and promotions)
  • Access to the Carr Gomm App , including free physiotherapy, health coaching, and counselling
  • Credit union membership
  • Cycle to Work scheme, and more

We welcome applications from any candidates already eligible to work in the UK or those who can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK (e.g., dependent visas, ancestry, etc.) that do not require sponsorship from Carr Gomm. You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment. It is currently our policy not to offer sponsorship for prospective candidates.
