Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a friendly and proficient administration team supporting Weymouth and Portland Integrated Community Rehab team. The post holder will be based at Westhaven Community Hospital.

This is a part time post, 25 hours per week: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 14:00 although would be happy to discuss working hours/days for the right candidate.

You will need excellent IT skills, strong organisational capabilities, proven time management and diary management skills. Having the ability to effectively prioritise your workload and manage conflicting demands is essential.

As a pivotal point of contact you will need to be able to build effective working relationships, have a friendly approach and be able to ensure good levels of communication between yourself and the team with a high level of tact and discretion.

It is an interesting and varied role and we’d like to find someone with good humour who enjoys the challenge of a busy working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide a friendly, safe, and efficient administrative and office systems service to support the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • To ensure that patients and contacts with the service are dealt with in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner and to help ensure that the patient’s experience is positive.
  • To deal with confidential, contentious, and urgent material proactively in a sensitive and appropriate manner, exercising analytical skills and sound judgement.
  • Work as part of an efficient and professional team.
  • To work systematically and develop communication networks that contributes effectively to the service provided.
