Job Summary

The Harrogate CAMHS Team are looking for an enthusiastic Team Administrator to work 37.5 hours with our other members of our administration team. As a child and adolescent community mental health team we pride ourselves on being a cohesive and supportive team and this role is key to helping the team function on a day to day basis. We are looking for someone that can work between the hours of 9am and 5pm - but sometimes covering 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generic administrative activity: dealing with answer machine messages, responding to letters and emails, checking/taking the post, liaising with other departments and sites across the North Yorkshire area, ordering supplies, calendar management (organising meetings/events), minute taking, data input, files and documentation prep (e.g. case notes), photocopying, filing.
  • Act as a point of contact on behalf of the clinical team for service users, carers and visitors; respond to enquiries in a patient and helpful manner.
  • Interact compassionately with service users and carers at all times.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience or willingness to work towards Level 3 in Business Administration.
  • Key skills/functional skills: literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above) / New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9).

Desirable

  • Level 3 in Business Administration.
  • RSA Level 2 or equivalent Secretarial/administrative experience in a clinical environment.

Experience

  • Essential: Experience of working in an administrative environment (diary management, filing systems, meeting coordination, minute taking, data input, collating and presenting information).
  • Desirable: Experience of supporting/supervising staff; experience of handling monies and working within financial guidelines.

Knowledge

  • Essential: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; understanding of data protection and confidentiality; knowledge of office systems and processes.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of NHS systems.
