University Hospitals Of Leicester Nhs Trust seeks a Specialist Registrar level Neurology Teaching Fellow for a 12‑month fixed‑term post. The role blends specialist neurology training with outpatient/inpatient care, registrar on-call duties, and leadership in medical education for undergraduates and postgraduates.

Open to those who have completed core level training and wish to pursue higher careers in Medical Specialties, this post offers a mix of clinical work and dedicated teaching

Qualifications

• Teaching medical students and junior doctors.
• Clinical supervision of junior doctors on medical wards and during on-call duties.

Responsabilités

• Ensure a safe and high standard of care of all patients.
• Participate in the running of the department/ward.
• Provide clinical supervision of Junior doctors on medical wards &/or in the on-call team.
• Provide senior medical input for the on-call Medical Team (especially Out of Hours) and potentially lead the cardiac arrest team.
• Assist with achieving the DOH Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Deliver teaching sessions for medical students and junior doctors.
• Provide bedside teaching, tutorials, case-based discussions and simulation sessions.
• Support the development of educational resources and teaching programmes.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
