Job summary

Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for September 2026 across South West London (Wimbledon, Balham, Tooting, Streatham, Mitcham, Cheam, Sutton and Putney). You will support primary pupils in EYFS, KS1 and KS2, gain classroom experience and build essential skills for future teaching careers.

Roles include daily supply, long-term and permanent placements with competitive pay. Start date ASAP, flexible opportunities with a dedicated consultant and CPD access.

Qualifications

  • A completed degree in any subject.
  • A genuine interest in working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Someone who is reliable, patient and approachable.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a school environment.

Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2026

Location: South-West London (Wimbledon, Balham, Tooting, Streatham, Mitcham, Cheam, Sutton and Putney)

Salary: £90 - £110 per day PAYE

Contract: Daily Supply, Long-Term & Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career and gain valuable experience working with children in a primary school? Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of primary schools across South West London who are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop key transferable skills and explore long-term careers in teaching, educational psychology, SEN support, youth work or other child-focused professions. We're interested in graduates who have a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
