Job summary

A local educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a Temporary Teaching Assistant to support children in a 1:1 basis. Job Start Date: 5th January 2025

Contact Term: Fixed term until Summer 2026 (July 2026)

Actual Salary: TA1 - TA2 Points 1-6,£14,489.45 - £19,281.03 per annum

Monday to Thursday with possibility of including Friday

25 hours up to 31.25hrs

We are committed to providing high quality learning for all children and are looking to recruit a class-based Teaching Assistant to support children or a child on a 1:1 basis. The role includes Breakfast Supervision from 7:45am to 8:20am.

This post is suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant or for applicants who are in the process of gaining a TA qualification.

Pay Scale will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

There will be further support and training available.

Qualities we are looking for in our Teaching Assistant:

  • An interest in, and love of, working with children.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Imaginative in delivering and supporting stimulating learning opportunities for children.
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
  • Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative.
  • Be patient, able to stay calm, listen, and value children’s views
  • Good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • To support the Breakfast Club Supervisor in looking after children; preparing and serving light breakfast.
