Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role

We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant who can make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will:

  • Support students across Key Stage 3–Post-16 with a variety of SEND needs
  • Build positive relationships and act as a strong, consistent presence in the classroom
  • Confidently manage and de‑escalate behavioural situations
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with teaching staff
  • Assist with personal care when required
  • Help deliver a creative, inclusive and engaging curriculum
About You

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or a relevant field (Level 3 desirable)
  • Have recent experience supporting students with SEND in a UK school setting
  • Possess a sound understanding of the curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Be able to provide two professional references covering at least the last two years (one must reference your work with children)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
