Randstad Education in Slough is seeking a positive Teaching Assistant to support students aged 5–19 with Autism and complex needs. Full training provided; join a nurturing team in a modern school with extensive facilities and progressive development opportunities.

The role is full-time, term-time only, 8:30–4:30, with 1:1 and small-group support across KS2–4. DBS and compliance checks apply, with funded training and career progression on offer.

Children attending this setting are aged between 5 and 19 years (both a primary and secondary provision). This role is required on a full time, permanent basis (8:30-4:30) and is a term time only role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning of the teacher
• Working 1:1 with students
• Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
• Working individually with learners/students to develop work
• Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
• Monitoring and evaluate students learning under the guidance of the teacher
• Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
• Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas

Key skills and experience needed:

• The ability to work with learners that have various learning difficulties
• A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
• The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team
• Flexibility in their approach to educationExperience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
• GSCE Maths and English
