Teaching Assistant - Personal Care Specialist - Northampton

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to partner with inclusive Northampton schools seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants with experience in personal care and SEN support. This is a fulfilling role for someone who wants to make a genuine impact on the daily lives of children with additional physical and medical needs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing one-to-one personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
  • Assisting with classroom learning, sensory activities, and communication development.
  • Following individual care plans and working closely with healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring the dignity, comfort, and safety of every student at all times.
  • Supporting inclusion, participation, and confidence building throughout the school day.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience working in a school, care, or SEN environment.
  • A caring, professional approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of hygiene, safeguarding, and moving/handling protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respond calmly under pressure.
  • Commitment to consistent, full-time hours across the school year.
