Job summary

St. Augustine’s Primary School in West Sussex invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils and contribute to a caring, enthusiastic classroom environment.

You will work under the head teacher, class teacher and SENCo, assisting individual children and supporting whole-class activities, with initiative, flexibility and a daily lunch duty. There is potential to access apprenticeships at Level 3 or Level 5 for those with more experience.

Job description

We are looking for a talented, creative and caring Teaching Assistant to work with our children. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, but most importantly have a desire to do your very best to support the children. This post will involve supporting individual children, as well as working across a class.

Working under the direction of the head teacher, class teacher and SENCo, you will work as part of a team to support and extend pupil progress, inspire learning and maintain successful relationships with all children and staff. Initiative, common sense and flexibility are essential. You will also be required to complete a daily lunch duty.
