Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor - Part-Time
Start Date: 03/11/2025
Location: Sutton, South London
Hours: 08:30am - 1:30pm (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)
Contract: Part-Time

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team at an Ofsted Good, welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton.

About the Role

The day would involve supporting as a Teaching Assistant in the morning from 8:30am - 11:30am, then providing lunchtime supervision until 1:30pm. You will support as a general classroom TA, with potential 1:1 support for children with additional needs, and supervise lunchtimes to safeguard children during lunch breaks. The contracted hours are 8:30am - 1:30pm daily. You will be responsible for supervising children during the lunchtime period, both in the dining hall and playground, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while promoting positive behaviour and good manners.

About the School

This is a beautiful, 3-form entry Infant School in Sutton with a Good Ofsted rating. It is accessible by train or bus from Sutton station.

We are looking for someone who
  • Enjoys working with children and has a caring, patient attitude.
  • Is punctual, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Can use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
  • Has previous experience in a school or childcare setting (desirable, but not essential).
  • Able to commit to the above hours across Monday to Friday
