Job description
Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Medical & SEND Support)

Start Date: End of November 2025 (subject to confirmation)

Location: Birkenhead, CH42

School: Ofsted Rated 'Good' Secondary School

Contract: Full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

Salary: Competitive daily rate (paid weekly via PAYE)

Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Key Requirements
  • Valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience supporting colostomy and bladder bag care
  • Experience with feeding tubes and awareness of feeding safety protocols
  • Previous experience supporting students with SEND needs, particularly those with communication or emotional health needs
  • A caring, patient, and professional approach to student support
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
