About this Role

This is a fixed-term role due to maternity cover and is up until January 2027 or upon the return of the post-holder.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Cockshut Hill Secondary school. You will work alongside teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, helping learners to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils’ learning in lessons, small groups, and one-to-one settings.
  • Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities.
  • Adapt resources and approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
  • Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supervise learners during non-teaching times, including break and lunch where required.

About You We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has recent experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Can adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning needs.
  • Is a proactive and supportive team player.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
