Salary : Grade 4 : FTE Annual Salary (£25,583) plus Special Class Allowance (£1,539) x 77.15% (Pro rata for working term time only)

The Governing Body of Ysgol Ty Coch are seeking to appoint highly motivated Teaching Assistants to support the teachers and pupils on their journey. A background of working in a school is an advantage but not essential.

Ysgol Ty Coch is a special school located in Tonteg, 7 miles north of Cardiff and 4 miles south of Pontypridd. We are a special school that puts its learners at the centre of all it does. We ensure our values of respect, communication and enjoyment guide our decisions each and every day for the benefit of our learners.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who :

  • Will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver learning programmes.
  • Will support our pupils by assisting in personal care including feeding and changing etc.
  • Can implement various strategies as instructed by the class teacher.
  • Can work as part of a team and maintain a positive atmosphere.
