Support Staff Vacancies from January 2026 TA2 with SNA allowance 12 month fixed term Salary Grade D point 6-11 Actual £9,022 - £9,769 + SNA Allowance Hours: 15 hours per week Term time + 5 days

Responsibilities
  • To aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible, both in group situations and on their own.
  • Clarifying and explaining instructions.
  • Ensuring the pupil is able to use equipment and materials provided.
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs.
  • Assisting in speech, language and general communication.
  • Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual learning needs, contributing to planning and delivery as appropriate.
  • Providing additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or SENCO.
  • Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies.
  • Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil.
Qualifications
  • Paid experience working with primary age children.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Some experience of working with children with additional needs.
