Role: Level 2 Teaching Assistant SEND (Ref: SBMAT334) – Fixed Term linked to child. Term Time Only – 20 hours per week. Grade 3 (Spine Point 4-6). Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 (FTE). Actual Salary: £11,709 - £12,074. Required to start: As soon as possible. Location: Gnosall St Lawrence CE Primary Academy, Lowfield Lane, Gnosall, Staffordshire, ST20 0ET.

What are we looking for

St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs within EYFS. The successful candidate will be based at Gnosall St Lawrence CE Primary Academy.

• Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs.
• Experience of working with children who exhibit challenging and complex behaviours, and an understanding of child development and learning.
• Experience of working with children with communication needs, severe, profound or complex learning difficulties is highly desirable.
• Experience of working with children with special educational needs.
• Ability to support children with specific educational needs.
• Experience of supporting children in literacy and numeracy.
• Experience of how to motivate children.
• Proven successful experience of supporting the raising of standards in school.
• Wide experience of working with children, including those with special needs and the most able children.
• Experience of supporting the personal care needs of children.
• Proven experience of a range of positive behaviour management strategies.
• The ability to support, lead and inspire children.
• High expectations of children and a commitment to raising standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
