Job description
What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team. The role involves providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils in the morning, and will focus on delivering small group PE activities in the afternoon.

The successful candidate will have the skills to work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure that the children are accessing the curriculum and making positive progress with their emotional development and their academic learning. Ideally, you will have some previous experience of working with children with SEND and an interest in sport, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is calm, caring and consistent in their approach, who is committed to maintaining our high standards and wants to make a difference, and who is willing to "go that extra mile" to better the life chances of our children.

The role may also involve supervising children over the lunchtime period.

The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
