Job summary

St Mary’s RC Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract of 12 months to join our caring school community in Pendlebury.

You will have primary TA experience, support SEND students, and contribute to Early Years and KS1 teaching. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential as you work with staff to raise achievement and behaviour standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
• Good subject knowledge of the Early Years and KS1 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be an exemplary Teaching Assistant with high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
• Assist progress and learning for all children, especially SEND students.
• Work with pupils to maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Assist with daily classroom tasks and provide a safe, inclusive environment.

The Governing Board of St Mary’s RC Primary School are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and popular school. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to all aspects of school life and be able to work as part of a team. They will have the ability to maintain our high standards and have a firm belief in the potential of all children.

You will:

• have experience of being a Teaching Assistant in a primary school;
• have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
• have a good subject knowledge of the Early Years and KS1 curriculum;
• have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• be an exemplary Teaching Assistant;
• have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour;
• be committed to working in close partnership with all staff.
