Brooke School is an all age (4-19) broad spectrum special school in Rugby, meeting the needs of pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

Our aim is for pupils to leave Brooke as confident, secure young adults, equipped with the knowledge, experience and skills to achieve as high a level of independence as is possible.
Our school is part of Unity MAT, which is a small, ambitious trust comprising of ourselves and two other similar special schools. Our collaborative working means that we have shared understanding of the challenges and issues that our schools face and can work together to find solutions. The schools are supported by a strong Core Team who provide dedicated support services across the Trust.

What we need

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to work as a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our team of dedicated staff in providing the highest quality education for our learners.

Responsibilities
  • To support pupils learning as directed by the class teacher
  • Assist with preparation of learning materials and resources, participate in record keeping and provide feedback about learning activities.
  • To provide support to pupils with their personal, social and emotional development and encourage independence
  • Liaise with families to answer queries
