Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Behaviour Support

Location: Leicestershire (LE4)

Pay: 90- 103.90 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-time only)

Start Date: Trial days commencing ASAP

Contract: Long-term to permanent

Long Term Futures are looking for an energetic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEMH provision in Leicestershire. The school supports pupils aged 4-16 who need additional help with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with young people - particularly if you have experience in sports, coaching, youth work, or mentoring and are keen to make a positive impact in an educational environment.

Your Role
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs through 1:1 and small-group sessions.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience and focus throughout the school day.
  • Assist in lessons, outdoor learning and structured activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver consistent support.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that help students re-engage with education.
About You
  • Experience supporting children or young people (education, youth, care or sport).
  • Calm, confident and proactive when managing challenging behaviour.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
