Contract Type: Long-Term/Short-Term
Pay Scale: £90 - £110 per day depending on experience & Contract Type

GSL Education are currently working in partnership with a well‑resourced school in Haringey, Barnet, Enfield & Islington, North London that requires a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is the perfect job for anyone looking to gain experience before applying for teacher training. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced educators, gain valuable classroom experience, and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, provide one‑on‑one support to students, and facilitate small group activities.
  • Individualized Learning: Work closely with students who require additional support, adapt teaching materials, and provide targeted interventions to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promote respectful behaviour, and implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Assessments and Progress Monitoring: Support teachers in assessing student progress, provide feedback, and record student data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Extra‑Curricular Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community by assisting in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports events, and school trips, fostering student engagement and personal development.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A degree in any subject area, demonstrating commitment to academic excellence. Holding a degree at 2:2 or higher is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating passion for education and willingness to go above and beyond to support student learning.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across a variety of subjects and supporting different teaching styles.
