Job Overview

Full‑Time SEND Teaching Assistant at an all‑through SEND school located in Hartley. Hours: 8:30 am‑4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Pay: £13.69 per hour (PAYE). This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

We are seeking a passionate teacher to support students aged 3‑19 with a wide range of needs including Autism, ADHD, PMLD, medical needs, and challenging behaviour. In addition to classroom support, you will help lead the Forest School program where students can explore nature and develop physical, emotional and social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support to students with varying SEND needs.
  • Assist with managing challenging behaviour and support social and emotional development.
  • Support the delivery of Forest School activities, encouraging interaction with nature.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement personalised learning plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or PMLD.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students thrive.
