EYFS Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about engaging and making a real difference in young people's lives? We are a leading recruitment agency looking to fill an exciting opportunity for a full-time Primary Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Primary school in Sunderland and support in there EYFS class.

In the role you will support a range of pupils with SEND needs and others who require additional support to help them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing targeted support to students across various subjects.
  • Individualised Learning: Work closely with students who require additional help, offering one‑on‑one support and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. (Having knowledge and past experience working with SEND pupils being a bonus!)
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour in line with school policies and fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources, ensuring that lessons run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Student Welfare: Support the social and emotional well‑being of students, acting as a mentor and providing guidance as needed.
About the role:
  • Location: Sunderland
  • Start Date: January Start
  • Contract: Full‑Time
  • Hours: 8:30-3:30
  • Pay: 440‑600 per week
