Job summary

EFI Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant Coordinator & SEND Administrator to support the Learning Progression team with SEND processes and TA deployment across FRA Academy and LCBT Academy in London. You will ensure EHCPs, High Needs Funding, and exam access arrangements run accurately and on time while coordinating TA support for learners across both campuses.

The role requires SEND administration experience, line management skills, and strong organisational ability with data systems.

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above. A relevant qualification in SEND, education administration or people management would be desirable.
  • Experience in a SEND administration role, supervising or line-managing staff such as TAs/LSAs.
  • Experience administering exam access arrangements and working across multiple sites/campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative coordination across SEND processes and TA deployment across both sites.
  • Line-manage and deploy the Teaching Assistant team, ensuring responsive learner support.
  • Maintain accurate data systems/registers and support safeguarding requirements.

1.05FTE - Full-Time: 39 Hours Per Week, (Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays)


Fixed-Term Contract


On-site across FRA Academy: Electra House – London, Moorgate EC2M 6SE and LCBT Academy: 3-5 Fashion Street, London, E1 6PX

About the role

The Teaching Assistant Coordinator & SEND Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Learning Progression team by providing high-quality administrative coordination across SEND processes, and by providing day-to-day line management and deployment of the Teaching Assistant (TA) team. The postholder ensures that administrative systems supporting learners with SEND — including EHCPs, High Needs Funding (HNF), and exam access arrangements — run accurately, efficiently and on time, while also making sure TA support is well organised, consistent and responsive to learner need across both buildings.


About you

Qualifications:

Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above. A relevant qualification in SEND, education administration or people management would be desirable.


Experience:

Experience in a SEND administration role, ideally within a school, college or training provider. You will also have experience supervising, coordinating or line managing staff, such as TAs, LSAs or similar. Prior experience directly line-managing a team of TAs or LSAs and experience administering exam access arrangements would be desirable, as would experience working across multiple sites/campuses.


Expertise:

You will bring working knowledge of EHCP processes and High Needs Funding (HNF) requirements.


Skills:

You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with external agencies, alongside confident use of data systems/registers and standard office software.

Salary:

1 FTE from £30,600 to £34,000 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience


1.05 FTE from £32,130 to £35,700 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
