Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant candidates to gain hands-on classroom experience in South East London schools. You will support pupils in lessons, assist with routines, and help behaviour management while building valuable school-based experience for teaching careers.

Ideal candidates are graduates or aspiring teachers with a genuine interest in education, strong communication, reliability and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in becoming a teacher.
• Passion for supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Confidence working in a busy school environment.
• Reliability, patience and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to learn from experienced teachers and school staff.
• Previous school, tutoring, youth work, coaching or childcare experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class on a 1:1, small group and whole-class basis
• Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines
• Help pupils stay engaged, focused and confident in their learning
• Support behaviour management and positive classroom expectations
• Work with pupils of different abilities and learning needs
• Gain valuable experience in a school environment before teacher training
• Build confidence delivering support across a range of subjects and year groups
