Biddulph High School is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team under the guidance of the SENDCo. The role supports students with diverse needs and helps create a nurturing learning environment.

27.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 inset days. A positive ethos, collaboration with teaching staff and strong pastoral skills are essential to support progress and attendance.

Qualifications

  • Provide support to students with barriers to learning.
  • Assist in monitoring progress and reporting.
  • Support pastoral aspects of student welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in addressing the needs of students who need particular help.
  • Provide pastoral support to students within the school environment.
  • Receive and supervise students.
  • Participate in the comprehensive assessment of students to determine those in need of particular help.
  • Support provision for students with additional needs.
  • Provide feedback to students and teachers in relation to progress, achievement, behaviour and attendance etc.
  • Inspiring students with enthusiasm for learning.
  • Creating a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.

Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and extremely hard-working team of staff. The successful applicant will be working under the guidance of the SENDCo.

As a member of our Teaching Assistants, you will be committed to:
