Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an Arabic-speaking SEND Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Orpington. The role is full-time with a September 2026 start, supporting a student with SEND with 1:1 assistance throughout the school day.

You will use Arabic and English to facilitate learning, help the student access lessons, and promote independence, wellbeing, and positive social interaction while collaborating with teachers and the SEND team.

A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Orpington is looking to appoint a dedicated Arabic-speaking SEND Teaching Assistant for a rewarding full-time role starting in September 2026.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact by providing 1:1 support to a secondary-aged student with SEND, helping them build confidence, achieve their potential and thrive both academically and socially.

Your Role

As a valued member of the school's SEND team, you will:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Help the student access learning and engage confidently in lessons.
• Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and positive social interaction.
• Use your Arabic language skills to support effective communication where needed, including liaising appropriately with the student's family.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to deliver personalised support.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Speaks fluent Arabic and English
• Is available Monday to Friday during school hours
• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional needs (or transferable experience)
• Is patient, caring, resilient and proactive
• Can build positive relationships and inspire confidence
• Can travel to Orpington and start in September 2026
