Job summary

New Directions Education Ltd in Conwy is seeking an enthusiastic ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs in local schools. The role focuses on helping children build confidence, independence and educational skills in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

You will work under the direction of senior staff to provide tailored support, assist with classroom activities and help pupils participate fully in lessons.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ALN pupils preferred.
• Able to support IEP implementation and progress monitoring.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of pupils under guidance of head teacher and ALNCO.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain student records in collaboration with class teachers.
• Support students with emotional or behavioural challenges and help develop social skills.

Job description

We are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Teaching Assistant to work within schools in the Llandudno area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs, helping them to develop their confidence, independence and educational skills. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils, assist with classroom activities and work closely with teachers and school staff to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Job Specification

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

• NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
• BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.
