Riverside Primary School in England is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learning in small groups and, where needed, work with individual pupils to the highest standards.
You will assist the implementation of individual programmes for pupils, monitor progress, and contribute to a caring, collaborative classroom team, including supporting pupils with autism or speech and language needs.
We are a popular, mainstream community school, which is part of Aletheia Academies Trust. The school had a good Ofsted Inspection in November 2019 with a further ungraded inspection in June 2025 where Ofsted stated, "Riverside Primary School has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection". At Riverside, we put HEART into our learning. We nurture Happiness and Empathy to grow a kind community, while building Ambition, Resilience and Teamwork to ensure every child reaches their full potential. We have a Riverside HEART Squad who show our values which are the heartbeat of our school. At Riverside, we don't just grow learners; we grow confident, compassionate citizens who are ready to thrive in the world beyond our school.
The school has two integrated special provisions for a small number of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Visual Impairment, who are taught in the mainstream classes with appropriate support.
Please note interviews will take place on a rolling basis and we reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
