As aTeaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students across various subjects and age groups. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging and inclusive classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Monitor and record student progress to inform teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and supportive approach to working with students.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Education or Childcare is advantageous but not essential.

To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant (TA), you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
